Question D-Link DWL-G810

If any of you have used the DWL-G810, then you know that it is a piece of junk passing itself off as a bridge.

My question is, given that many have done firmware hacks on all sorts of networking equipment, is there any known firmware, other than the D-Link firmware, that can make my bridge more useful?

I could really use the capability of making it into an access point.
