I am trying to access my neighbors network from my house. He has a linksys router on the bottom floor. I put in a Netgear WPN824 on his top floor facing the window, and was able to successfully ping it from my back deck. I also bought another wpn824 that was supposed to receive the signal and broadcast it to my entire house. However, I just found out that the netgear routers cannot receive internet wirelessly and rebroadcast it. It is not possible to hardwire the linksys and netgear routers, as they are on opposite ends of the house and the netgear I bought has to be where it is, otherwise I don't get a signal at my house.
So essentially, what equipment do I need to receive internet wirelessly from his linksys router and rebroadcast it to the end of my house, and then rebroadcast it to the rest of my house? The cheaper the better, but I am getting extremely frustrated as everything I have tried up until now has failed.
