Extend wireless coverage with WAP

Hello everyone. I would like to extend my internet from my house to a shop on the back of my neighbors lot, about 125' away. I have already ran a network wire from my router to the shop. The neighbor has a WAP / Router (ASUS RTN12) that we wanted to use as a WAP for the computers in his shop to connect wirelessly but we are not sure how the WAP should be configured.

OK, does anybody know how using a WAP wired to the router works for adding another wireless area ?
