Default File transfer rate over time?

I have noticed that the larger the file transferred over my 802.11g network the faster the transfer rate.

Does anyone know the theory behind this?

Thanks

What sort of cards or AP are you using?

It could be a QoS thing or jumbo frames if your gear supports it. Most likely it drops back the connection speed for more reliability, so less dropped packets, giving the perception its faster.

Other than that cant really help ya
