Default Grid Parabolic setup but signal not that good.

Hi all,

I have a new TP-Link Grid Parabolic setup and pointing to the access point I want to use (about 100m away). The download speeds im getting from this access point is only around 15kb/s.

I have a 2W Amplifier connected to it also.

---------

My last setup which worked very well, was a small omni directional aerial connected to the amp. this got me download speeds which were around 170kb/s.

One thing that I think is awesome about this parabolic is that I pickup some access points that are ALONG way away, i'm on a military and I pick up civilian houses, even though the base is in the middle of no where.

Any tips on getting a better download speed from the parabolic?

Thanks
John

Default Too strong

What you are using is like droping a 1 ton bomb to kill a fly !!!!

100m away does not requires a parabolic nor 2w.

You make the acces point death and it can respond quiclky.
Come back to omni and low power, furthermore you will avoid antenna pointing problems.
