Help! Range of wireless

Hi,

This is my first post so if I am getting things wrong let me know.

I have a relatively large house and am living in the UK.

We have many wireless items on our home network between us
3 Laptops
2 Desktops
2 PS3's
2 360's
4 Smartphones
2 Tablets

My problem is range from my Netgear DGN200

I have just ordered a Alfa AWUS036H for my desktop in my room but the range is still poor for my ps3 and xbox. Also my brother has problems with his also.

Our internet does drop a few times a week, but my provider, TalkTalk, assure me that it is not their end.

My question is; is there is better option for wireless range and speed at a reasonable price?
