Default How do I know what technology my Acer AspireOne AOA150 Netbook Supports? (B? G? N?)

Good Day! I hope you're enjoying a pleasant one. This is my first post as I am just now a new member.

How do I know what technology my Acer AspireOne AOA150 Netbook Supports?

Is there someway by using Control Panel that I can find out? ...or is there a piece of freebee freeware software I can get to test it?

When I hover above the Wireless Connection Icon in the System Tray, what speed should be indicated for Wireless-N? (54 Mbps?)

Here are some specs I found at the Acer site:

Wi-Fi®/WiMAX™: Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 5150/5350 Wi-Fi®/WiMAX™ dual-mode module, supporting Acer SignalUp™ with Nplify™ wireless technology

Wi-Fi®: (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) Wi-Fi CERTIFIED® network connection, featuring MIMO technology
Note: what is 802.11Draft-N???

WiMAX™: (single-band 802.16e/2.5G ) WiMAX Forum Certified™ WAN (Wide Area Network) connection, featuring Mobile WiMAX™ and MIMO technology

WLAN: Acer InviLink™ 802.11b/g Wi-Fi CERTIFIED® network connection, supporting Acer SignalUp™ wireless technology
LAN: 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet

Enjoy!

John B.

what is 802.11Draft-N
802.11n as proposed in the final draft but not yet accepted. the manufacturers started building things so they would be ready before the vote was taken.

WiMAX™: (single-band 802.16e/2.5G ) WiMAX is 4G by another name

dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N: has it all; a,b,g,n

so you have all current technolgy except 802.11ac

Default Acer Specs Lie

Apparently, my AOA150 only supports "G". I have to upgrade my card in order to get "N". The Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter doesn't support "N". Fortunately, ebay is polluted with cards I can use to upgrade mine... I just have to figure out which one to get. I'm considering an Intel 4965AGN MM1 (or MM2). Anybody know the difference between an MM1 and an MM2?

Thanks for the assistance...
