How to fit ExpressCard-34 into ExpressCard-54 slot?

Hi.

I have a Dell StudioXPS 16 which comes with inbuilt Dell WiFi card that does not support promiscuous mode. So I went ahead and bought ATHEROS AR9280 Dual-Band 300Mbps Mini Pci express card. It was spontaneous purchase (just the way I like them) and now I'm confronted with a question how exactly do I put the card into my laptop. I could open the case and substitute Dell card with Atheros one, but I'd rather use external ExpressCard slot to give me more flexible approach. The problem is that I found no adapter which would help me do that. Screenshot attached for easier comprehension. Any advice would be warmly welcome.

Forgive me for digging up this post after 6 months.

Unfortunately the Mini PCI-Express (mPCIe) card you bought is not compatible with the Expresscard slot on your laptop. I've never seen an adapter for plugging the first into the second.

You might be able to swap the card with the Dell card already inserted into the mPCIe slot on the bottom of the computer.
