Default Increasing range of wireless network adapter.

Hi i flat near a uni library and can sometimes pick up the internet but its only ever a 1 bar connection and doesn't last for long, i was wondering what my best bet for increasing my chances of picking up and maintaining the connection whether it be buying a high end WNA(suggestions/recommendations) or any external antenna that would work, thanks(my laptop is an hpdv6 thats about 4 months old)

your built in wireless adapter is very weak.

What you need is a high power USB adapter like the 600mW EUB9603h

Keenan Systems Wireless Store Featuring Engenius

It has a large 5dBi antenna and it can pick up signals from over a mile away.

It even has a software AP feature so it can rebroadcast the signal in your apartment for your Iphone or other devices to use.
