I got some problem lately and i want to find a solution easily.
I had wireless internet on my desktop and my notebook from an access point DI-624 rev C. Now the router is not working. I have made direct connection to each of my computers by the DSL modem. working perfectly.
Then I have tried to modify settings at the router, even firmware upgrade, but it is not working. The only problem I have found is the cable test which reports failure for the WAN. The cable link is reported to be interrupted and from time to time is reported to be in order. I have changed the cables but the same.
I have no money for the moment to buy a new router so I was thinking to do differently.
I have a network card in the desktop computer and a wireless one also. laptop has wireless card. Is it possible to put the DSL connection on my desktop's network card and to use share the internet connection so that the wireless from my desktop have access to internet and to transmit that to the wireless card of the laptop? does anybody know if it is possible and how?!
up to now i have managed to have ad-hoc link between the two wireless cards while the DSL internet was running. I could share files between the two computers. but I had internet only on one of them. what should i do?
