Default Linksys

I have a Linksys router in the same room as my laptop. The laptop is getting an " Excellent" signal which I cannot use because it is encrypted ( WPA).The guy who set this up is long gone and nobody knows what the key is. How do I remedy this situation ?

Default Try Hard Reset

Press and hold the reset button down on the back for 10 seconds
allow time to reboot

now go back into router at 192.168.1.1
at prompt user name is not needed the pass word is admin
once you are in you can now reset up the wep key and change the router password (a must to keep secure.)
