Default Long Link Wireless Network for Racing Team

I was doing my research for a long distance wireless network and I came across this in the HOW-TO's section:
"wirelessforums.org/how-tos/wireless-103-long-link-67730.html"

So then I emailed the company that makes the bullet and got no response so I'm hoping the experts here can help me out.

Here is what I'm trying to do:
I am part of an amateur race team and we are trying to get live footage
from inside the car to our pits (about .5 away). I'd like to run a set of
IP cameras to a wifi router in the car, boost the signal from the router
with the Bullet and an omni directional antenna, then catch the signal with
an additional antenna mounted high in pit lane, attaching to an access
point with another Bullet then on to our laptops.

Am I vaguely on track here? Can anyone make suggestions on product selection or comment on whether my setup is viable?

Many Thanks,
Rob
