New router question

Hi Guys,

I'm new here, and I know very little about these things, so please be patient.

I was given a Linksys E1200 Router as a birthday present. My current wireless router works fine with my two laptops and my i-pad, but as it's a four year old router that was supplied to me when we got our AT&T DSL installed, I guess it wouldn't hurt to upgrade...especially as the new router didn't cost me anything.

So, I guess my questions are....Is the E1200 a decent router, and will it work with my AT&T DSL account? Is the set up on these things pretty 'idiot proof' so that people like me can install them?
