I am new to this but want to set up a wireless setup. I have the home setup with a router and Ethernet everywhere but want to change things.
I am wanting to get a wireless router for the home network and want to send the internet to the outbuildings I have. I am looking for recommendations on that router.
The 2 buildings have good line of sight but are almost 180 degrees apart. I need something with a omnidirectional antenna. I need something that would use the Ethernet output from the inside wireless router and either have AP/Bridge that has an internal omnidirectional antenna or an external one. Need recommendations on this. I like Endenius products and I think I want to stay with the N standard.
I was thinking about getting a Engenius N inside wireless router and then a Engenius ENH200EXT pointing back to the omnidirectional antenna for the 2 buildings. Then I will use the old router in one of the buildings to set up everything that I need.
The last thing I want to do but do not know if I can do it with the equipment I am buying is to have the DirectTV box that is in the house send the signal out to one of the outbuildings and be able to watch it out there. Also to be able to change the channels out there as well. This outbuilding is about 250 feet away.
Let me know what you think and if this is possible using the same equipment to do the internet and TV together or not.
