Default POE for senoa AP?

Has anyone made one for the units?

I have the Senao NL-2611CB3 PLUS (Deluxe) ( 200mw ), It says the unit it POE compact, does that mean the the spare UTP wires are already wires into the unit for or do i need splice out the "power pairs" and plug it into the ap's power plug?

If I get your meaning, All you need to do is provide +12v on the Rj-45's pins 4,5pair and gnd on pins 7,8pair going into the Senao. So the only cable you are using is the ethernet cable into the unit and it powers up( ie nothing into the power jack)

I added POE injection easily to my Leviton swithes( Home Depot ) by fuse jumpering +12 into on of the ports 4,5pins and ground pins7,8. I removed the
dummy termination resistors they had on those pairs too. was a $2 modification.
I went to a 2amp switcher supply also that I could adjust for voltage drops.

this worked for me on a 1mile link.

It would be best to check the unit by opening it up and tracing the pins over the PCB, from memory this is correct and I have one that I just feed with 24V Im prety sure it was the CB3 Plus Delux but its been quite a while since I have seen it.

I wish all AP's had this feature as it made life so much easier!

After investigating more, I think I may be injecting too low a voltage for POE at my current 12.5volts. Seems like your 24v upto 48v is a better plan.

Well... while I'm talking to myself:-) and unfortunately answering too ;-)

On My Senao NL-3054CB3 PLUS(DELUXE): the poe power
(RJ-45pins +4,5 and -7,8 ) is run into a bridge rectifier whose
positive side is also connected to the cathode side of the diode feeding from the wall-wart DC jack. This basically diode "OR's" the 'whichever' power input into the same DC switcher supply on the PCB.

So my initial 12volt adjusted injector is fine. As long as I compensate for 2 diode drops and line loss. Just uses more current and ups the V=IR losses.
