Default problem finding wireless hardware/ connection

hi all,

i have a packard bell easynote R4 laptop and recently i had to restore factory settings as my harddrive failed, its all up and running now but my WIFI connection has disappeared....

it was working fine before i restored my computer.

i have tried to set up a new network but it does not give any wireless options
i also went on to the packard bell site and downloaded and ran the drivers but still nothing!

any ideas?
