Default Query.

Hi guys,

Firstly, this is a wicked site, nicely done.

Secondly, I'm in Blockhouse Bay in Auckland and I'm interested in finding out what you need for this thing. I've got a desktop computer, can I just buy a wireless network card, install it and be good to go as long as there's a node in my area? (which I checked, I think there is - Jabz). Cuz if I can that'd be sweet - as I can probably get a cheap wireless card through work, we have a wireless lan there.

Cheers

Pretty much. If you nearest person is only a stones throw you might not need an aerail. 9 times out of 10 though you will need to get an aerial to point at someone. Aerials start from $5 with a home made job to $200. Depends on how far you have to go.

Talk to the guys who you are near, add yourself into nodedb.com and come onto the irc channel we can all help you there.
