Smile Searching the most Wifi Range Router AP

i have a couple of wifi devices in mind. i prefer buying the cheapest one ofcource.
But i do not know anything about wifi.
I need a router wich can serve as bridge between my AR Drone(wifi controlled RC toy) and iphone 4, to increase the range.

On the ardroneflyers forums someone got 350m range with the powerAP...
but its very expensive. any other options with about as much or better range?
i just want to get as much range possible

EDIT: i had to have 5 posts to post links in my posts....i am not a spammer, so i hope this exeption can be made.
Im not a evil spambot 5.0 :P
