Can anyone please give me information on Ethernet switches.
I need them for my computer.

What is there to know? main thing you need to be concerned about is brand, speed and number of ports. Best to get a good brand such as cisco, d-link,smc etc, speed get a 100 mb or even 1000mb if you want the speed, and you want at least a 8 port switch.
