Default Is there a way to turn a USB 1 into a USB 2?

I have an older Dell Inspiron 8100 which has the older USB 1. Is there any way to adapt it to turn it into a faster USB 2? Thanks.

If your laptop supports it I would suggest looking at a PCMCIA to USB2 adapter.
Depending on the power requirements of your USB2 devices you may need to provide an external power supply.
