Default wi-fi Antenna help

Hi everyone,i am a international truck driver and i wish to use wi-fi hot spots in Italy, france, germany ect......rather than getting dongles for each country i want to get a wi-fi booster ariel,to try and suck in the signal better and use the wi-fi on offer in many services areas.Anybody any ideas how these would connect to my laptop as all the one i've seen dont have a usb connection?.Is there a way to bypass the wi-fi built in to my laptop?.Or simply can i get adapters to change the plug from i think a sma to usb?.
Any help i would be most grateful of.

USB is not an antenna connection. the most practical route would be to get a USB wireless adapter which has an RP-SMA connector and use this instead of the built in adapter.

one of these...

The Hawking HWUN3 and HAWNU1 both are RP-SMA USB wireless adapters. You could mount an omni-directional outdoor antenna (HAO15SIP or HAO9SIP) to your vehicle and connect it to that USB device and use that perhaps.

we put together a 600mW long range USB truck kit with a mag mount vehicle antennas.

They work great we have many happy truckers using them.

This is a tricky question to answer because different countries might have different kind of wireless internet connection available which can be really daunting to deal with through one antenna. Try to tell us if you have 2G or 3G network throughout your route?
