Wireless connection help

Hello friends,

I was hoping someone might be able to assist me? I am a bit new to wireless connections and could please use some help.

I have an ASUS M2N32-SLI motherboard with built-in WiFi-AP SOLO wireless capabilities. I was installing it and setting up on my main computer as per instructions, that went well I had a connection for my laptop which is a Gateway about 2 years old that is wireless.

Ok, I made my main connection (secured with code) and my laptop found it, said it had an excellent connection but, it would not let me access the internet? I tried a few local non-secure sites and still, no internet connection. I then took my dsl line and put it into the laptop to make sure that was working and it was, that gave me an internet connection.

I then went back to wireless and still no connection to the internet even though the signal read excellent and I had 5 bars of strength. Can anyone at all offer some assistance as to my problem perhaps?

Assuming both wireless cards are in adhoc mode you also need to setup the same pass phrase on both ends, it doesn't automatically pick this up.
