Wireless with just a laptop & router

I have purchased a Linksys Wireless G,2.4 GHZ, 54MPS router and I have a lap top. The lap top does have a wireless adapter. Do I need any other equipment and if you have any hints on how to configure/install the router I would appreciate it!

There should be a manual or CD that comes with the router, this should help you set it up.

You shouldn't need any other equipment.
