Default Wireless router out of ports & setting up a wireless print server

Hi,

I am a forum newbie and I'm hoping I can find some advice here on setting up a wireless printer server. My problem is that I've run out of wireless router network ports.

I'm trying to setup one of my office printers as a wireless printer. After hardwiring the rest of my home computers (except for my wife's laptop), I've run out of room on the 4 port wireless router Verizon gave me. I do have an old Linksys WRT54G wireless router and I'm wondering if I can make use of it either as a wireless print server or as an expansion to my Verizon wireless router. I am willing to buy a wireless printer server but again, I currently don't have a port to connect it to my router.

I do not want to leave my home pc on in order to share the office printer wirelessly. Any advice would be appreciated(well, any good advice.

That would be a waste of a WRT54G, but you could do it.

The WRT54G has a switch built in. That's what you need. I would buy an 8 port switch and save the WRT for better things.
