Hi Noodles.... I'm jealous....I've been dwiddling with wireless for nearly 12months now,but no bastard has any money where I live and can't be bothered doing anything.....I've got 3 wlan boxes ready to go...and 2 are cisco-PCI 340's...My local council has been proposing to do a wireless network here including a voice network to compete with Telecom.
Anyway theres a the NZ sub host to the wireless.org.au its..
nz.wireless.org.au and its been around for about 12 months also.
I've sold some cisco cards to some Aussies in Melbourne,they were $90 ea,I may be able to get some more....anyway call into austnet IRC at #melb-wireless...I'm usually around.
Another good place to see whats actually achievable with wireless wlans is down in the waikato,The guys at the university although well funded have done some awesome stuff....checkout their site and the photos.....
