You dont need to spend heaps to get a decent router... admittedly my current smoothwall box is worth about 5 hundy give or take, but at least it's flexible enough to be used for pretty much any PC application (being an EPIA and all) However one of my previous smoothwall boxes cost me a 6 pack of Tui and a small bit of effort. Ran for 6 months solid before a power spike caused its PSU to implode I had enough spare gear around to replace it with something better

In saying that, having used a Dlink 810+ and a 900+ I'm not overly impressed with them right now, so I've been quietly stocking up on senao and 3com gear

I concur, my 900+ was a dog to get going and now after about 2 mnths I can't access it from the wired network (web management).
viva la wrt54g.

the DSE XH7988 AP is good. Fitted it with external aerial connectors and its good on Linux.

Default Router for Wired Country connection

Could anyone recommend a good router for sharing a WC connection? I want as good as possible for as little as possible....preferably able to do whatever updates dynamic ip for using dyndns.org. I like the look of that NetGear stuff especially this one. Are they a good brand? Linksys WRT54G also seems good.
