Default Another Newbie

Hi;
I'm not exactly new to wireless as I have a 14 computer network, wherein 7 are wireless using a Linksys WAP connected to an 8 port Netgear FVS338 VPN Firewall router. The Netgear connects to AT&T's DSL system. This has been my main system that I initially setup quite a while back. All systems use static IP's.

Recently I added a new system using a cable modem - which works much, much faster. The purpose was to have another internal network using the cable system. My newer systems all have 1 gig LAN speed capability, so I'd like to maximize my wireless speeds on the new network.

So, my purpose of joining the Forum is to find out how the real world of wireless networking should be set up. Not that I don't trust the "happy talk" by the wireless suppliers (which I don't)!!

Thanks for any comments in the mean time...

Centuri1
