Default A Couple Q's

Hi All
I have a Couple of Questions You Guys Might Be able to Help Me With
Im Looking At Getting Broadband and Im 11Km Out of matamata in the Waikato, so i cant get Jetstream ect
So Far the Best option i have Found is Telecoms Wireless ($743 install $59 a month for 2000mb)
My Questions are
. Is there a Better option than Telecom?
. is the 2000mb cap for International Traffic or dose it include National?
. Will Its Uplaod (128kbps) be faster enough for Xbox live (ill ring xbox live customer service to find that out)

Hey m8. Unlucky been out so far.

Telecom told me one day that they cant tell between National and International so 2000MBs will be 2000MBs.

128 Will be O.K for Xbox. But when you go through a Satellite the ping is so large it makes the game unplayalbe for most. Dont have any high hopes for Gaming with Satellites.

You might find ihug as better deals for statellites. Its Called Ultra.

I hope this helps m8.

(I just got onto nzWireless 802.11b 3mbit. Love the Company the product to bits. Quite lucky cos i can see 3 AP's from where i am. Lucky for some )

They can, but there's no money to be made in doing so.

Good to hear that you're enjoying NZW, I too am a customer of theirs and I'm really pleased with the service

Default NZWireless Rocks

Yeah i thought that was shocking how telecom dont want anything to do with cheaper Nataional. Makes sence on their side because more $$. haha, I even offered the guy i talked to if he wanted a txt file with all the IPs in NZ. He said he would love to give it to the people higher than him but he likes his job. You gotta give telecom some credit. They are bloodly good Milking things right out... Pitty they milk us.

As for NZWireless i love it to bits. I can feel the power of it bigtime. (Ive had Jetstream for 1year + [50ping] and 2mbit cable [10ms] for 6months+ ) And the ping on this is something else. I have a view over the whole to Wellington CBD and can see 4 nodes they have easy. I feel Very lucky. I get 3ms to the gateway. Couple more ms to the dns as its next door to the gateway. Connected through Citylink though. Super quick. I cant imagine it been any quicker!?

Ive got to know Chris, the guy who owns it quite quickly now. Great guy and does nothing but want to help. I talked to him for an hour on the first call not knowing he owned it. I was very keen to get onto it as im limited to 64k with Telescum. He in his own lunch time when't to their Warehouse in L.Hutt and brought me back a Long Range 802.11g unit. I did the diy install. And i havnt looked back yet... Infact, i think this company is going to make me stay in my new apparntment for another year atleast. lol

Hey Whetu Star, can you please send me an email m8 as we might be able to hook eachother up with a few things.
