Try the starbucks on the corner of victoria street and queen street. They have signs up saying buy a grande size drink and use free wireless.
Have a good time

Starbucks use Jetstream a Airpoint and Reach wireless billing system. Not excatly sure how they restrict but you buy a Grande they give you a card that has a prepaid value and you enter your info in to connect. Pretty much like a prepaid phone.

Default Hotspots in Auckland?

I did a search on this subject and saw this but it was in 2003.

Does anyone know if Starbucks still offer this cup of coffee + free wireless access deal?

Where are the other hotspots in Auckland and are there any good deals out there? I checked some of the service providers' websites and wireless connection in hotspots was NZD9.95 per hour!! I'm a backpacking student and need less expensive alternatives.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Cheers
Kay
