HP are to release the PalmPad which will rival Apples iPad, do you think it'll be any better?

I think the new iPad now has a camera? I know it's not out in the UK just yet but may be out in the states. The Apple site should have more info

The new iOS 4.2 is likely to be big with the introduction of multitasking functionalities on the iPad. Also, if you also own an Apple TV, the iPad will bring features like AirPlay. On the other hand, HP PalmPad should however be popular among those who are fans of the WebOS.

Things are still not clear on the HP PalmPad front. The other tablets though will come with a 1GHz processor.

Apple does not really encourage microSD support. So do not expect to store anything more than the standard 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variations even on the upcoming version. On the other hand, HP PalmPad is expected to come with 16GB and 32GB variants with support for a microSD slot.

Camera : Now this is a contentious issue right. With FaceTime here, Apple is most definitely going to offer a front-facing camera on the next generation iPad. But is that going to be enough. Expect the camera to be available on the PalmPad, but no idea on whether there would be just one or two.

Connectivity : The iPad cannot tether. But it does have Wi-Fi and 3G variants available. The PalmPad is expected to have both Wi-Fi and 3G though that is not entirely clear.

Cheers

I guess we'll have to see when the latest versions are released who will triumph...

I like the Apple iPad because with its revolutionary Multi-Touch screen, and its ability to run thousands of apps, iPad can do thousands of things a tablet PC or e-reader can't.

I never get the chance to go with what is 'better'.

I always have to develop for what more people have or what a clients ask for.

It would be nice to think a product might succeed because it was better rather than had better marketing (At work I am attached to the marketing department at present).

I will put my hand and say I am in 'marketing'. I help convince people to buy 'inferior' products.

I argue with opinions with myself - I can start an arguement in an empty room.

I often compare it with the VHS v's betamax debate.
