Suggest the antivirus for 2010

Recently i am using McAfee and it got expired, I have AVG virus protection always on and windows XP firewall enabled. Why do I still get infected with some Trojan horses? I check for updates every day so I am sure I am up to date.Can anyone tell me the best antivirus of 2010.. There are so many on net so it made me confused and drag me here to ask in the forum..

My current setup is AVG Antivirus 9 (paid version) and I do full, deep scans with Malwarebytes every day or two. Malwarebytes sounds kinda ghetto I know, but look it up on CNET, where it's one of the top rated mal-ware scanners. I find CNET to be a good place to look in general for software reviews.

Get Avast Anti-virus its much better and its free. I have been using it for years and never had a problem.
