Default Wellington wifi

Hi all,
Just to introduce myself. I'm starting up a node (and hopefully full blown community network) in Strathmore Wellington - with help from the guys over in Perth. I have RG1000 and DWL900 APs with 2 WAP11 APs on the way. Been looking at building a solar powered repeater (due to some bad wifi terrain down here). Happy to help out with sourcing equipment and ideas. I have a couple of old Sky dishes about to get modified to give good long range links to our other nodes.
The web site will eventually be www.fortyonesouth.net (we think).
Some of the node info is at www.nodedb.com
Cheers- Colin.

Welcome Wifi!!

Very intereste din the sky dish mod. I was planning something similar. You seem to have alot of gear.. you sell it for a living or dont you have to get any financial approval for comp. parts!!

See other post in the wellingotn nodez forum.

If you run ICQ add me to your list.

Thanks Wookie.

Must admint I have bought and sold a bit of gear via eBay and Trade-me. I have managed to make enough out of the wheeling and dealing to pay for most of it.

See the other post for more info on the dish thing.
