Wireless connection

Hi,

I have just moved back home. My mum is connected to Saturn, and has dial-up internet. I have my own computer and want to know the best and cheapest way to get high speed internet. We live in a valley, and I have tried to get high speed internet cable, but they say it is going to be too awkward to get this done. Does anyone have any ideas? Please don't use big dictionary words either, as I am new to the computer world so probably wouldn't understand the computer lingo.
But if someone could point me in the right direction of how to get this done that would be great.
I live in Aro Valley, Wellington.

ok you cant get cable, have you tried to see if you can get ADSL? hopefully youre not 5km+ from the exchange.
