Default acquiring network address

hello...
my wirless connection is just stuck at this message..can never manage to connect..
it does connect to the wireless in my univesity though.
have a live box
inbuilt card wireless 2200bg...
have 4 other computers running ..working perfectly fine...
it works fine through ethernet...
please help!!!

Are the other computers running a similar setup? (2200bg?) You could try update your drivers, see if that helps

cd u tell me what should i update it too... i have no clue..
my housemates some using extarnal card and some internal..

Just grab the latest version from the laptop manufacturer's website.

latest driver...but the adapter is 2200bg...internal..
u thnik i shd get an external card?
the laptopis two years old

The 2200BG is normally a good card, but it won't hurt to see if a new card fixes the problem.

well... i tried making my network open.
it does get connected...
what does this mean..
m not tyiping in the wrong key...checked it again and again and agin
what should i do next??my livebox is set to wep or wpa
help!!!!!!!!!

Tried a firmware update on the Livebox? You are not the first person to report this type of problem however I have never used, nor do I have access to a Livebox to play with.
