Atheros v BT

Hallo all,
I have a network currently made up of a Tosh with Atheros therein & a BT3Hub.

I have been trying to put another laptop, which does not have Atheros, as part of the network.
It won't link in & it's diagnostics shows that there is an disconnected Atheros which needs connecting. As it isn't in the second laptop I'm stuck!

Can anyone help please?

Just thought I'd let you know that the problem has been resolved by contacting BT free helpline.

It took three sessions with them taking over my laptops but was finally successful. I must complement the BT people for their competence & efficiency.

Don't ask me how they did it because with them driving the laptops, the cursor was flashing round the screen like one o'clock but all is now well!
