Atheros wifi not connecting to internet

I have been through fixes on here with regedit, plus MS Fixit and advice from elsewhere, but I cannot connect to the net with Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g wifi adapter. I can connect local, but no net.
I have Vista 32, sp2.

I am connected with a wireless 3g dongle right now. All my other devices are fine.
When I uninstall Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g, is it the driver I am uninstalling? I do not know if it is only the driver I would need to re-install it?
