Belkin F7D1301uk SURF N150 - Poor range??

Hi,

I had a netgear g router and due to the range being poor, only giving a 1 bar connection upstairs in a small 3bed house. So I decided to buy belkin n150 wireless router and the belkin n150 adapter for my pc as when looking up the product belkin say that is provides a good coverage.This however has given me the same problem and it keeps cutting out. Do I need to buy an expensive router or is there anything else that will solve this??

Where do you have the router located?

It is a great idea to place your router in an open position (preferably in the center of your house) where it isn’t obstructed by dense or metallic objects such as file cabinets or brick walls.

Also the higher the better.
