BELKIN FD7230-4 problems

Hi guys, recently purchased the above wireless router,

i am having major problems locating my wireless from my laptop,

it just scans and says no wireless networks available within range.

my wireless light is on and so is internet light and modem light and power light, and i can access the internet when connected to router via ethernet.

I have enabled wireless mode on the modem and have enabled ssid broadcast but still to no availl.

could someone please help me??

any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

what you need to understand that all routers operate on the 2.4ghz wireless frequency range , and so do other devices as alarm installations, baby-coms ect.
there are 12 channels on the 2.4ghz that these devices use to operate.

if any of these devices work on the same channel as your router they can cause disturbance and as a result you will not be able to see your wireless router in range

what you need to do is the following

logon to the routers settings page http://192.168.2.1 , on the left menu select channel and ssis and change the channel to a different channel. if at first you dont succeed try again . go trough all channels and I am certain that your problem will be resolved

now how i know these things remains a mystery:-)
