I have an HP laptop with Windows 7 and a Broadcom network adapter.
For the past few months, I have been accessing the internet with my laptop's wifi through my neighbor's password-protected network (with his permission). I also sometimes go online using another neighborhood network which does NOT have a security key.
As of today, I can view networks and connect to both of these (as well as others), but I can't get online. I get the "No Internet access" message when I connect to any network.
When I go to the command prompt and type ipconfig /all, I get this for IPv4 address: 192.168.1.9(Preferred) and I cannot successfully ping any ip addresses.
I have rebooted already and renewed my network adaptor. I have also scanned for viruses. Any other suggestions would be very welcome. Thank you!
hey,
first ping ur gateway, u can figure out its ip by the same way ( ipconfig /all ) . if the ping was ok with low response time (usually 1ms)
then u have to ping ur isp gateway and u can find that in ur router. after doing that just reply back to continue the troubleshooting with
