Default Cannot get my hp wireless assistant to work and my wireless.

The other day I had turned my laptop off for the night, the next morning when I turned it on the blue light that identifies my wireless was amber the switch was in the correct position. I have updated my bios and tried to install new drivers via hp's help desk but still to no avail I cannot get my wireless to work. I try to click on the wireless assistant in my control panel and nothing happens. I also uninstalled it and reinstalled it hoping that would help. If anyone can give me some pointers I would appreciate it. Oh and when I go to my device manager I donot have a wireless driver a friend of mine told me to try and rollback to previous settings but I cant. Please help me.
