Cannot see Wifi network just created with a laptop, but I see it with another laptop
I just bought a D-link dir-600 wifi router and installed it following all the instructions with a laptop, let's call it laptop1. Everything is ok, I have internet but with the cable. I unplug the cable, try to use the wifi feature of the router, and i cannot find the network I had just created. I can find other networks from nearby houses as always, but not the new one. And I always use laptop1 in many wifi places.
Now I try with laptop2, another laptop, and this laptop2 can see and connect to the new network.
Both are Windows XPs. I really need laptop1 to connect to the internet without the cable from the router!
Could you help me with this? anything i could do?
Thanks you very much for reading!
DIR 600 is an N router.You may have laptop that does B & G but not N.
set the router up to do mixed networks, B, G and N, and see if both laptops see the router
