Can't access wireless, LAN works fine

Hi. I really need some help here.

I have a new ACER laptop. I just finished installing Windows XP Professional SP2. My issue is with the wireless. I tried connecting to two routers and here is what happened:

a) At home, I have a WPA-TKIP encryption. I kept getting the "limited connectivity" message. I tried manually entering ip address, gateway, DNS, but still nothing. However, as soon as I put in the cable for LAN, it managed to connect to wireless as well. Meanwhile, LAN worked flawlesly through the same router.

b) At work, I have a WPA-PSK TKIP encryption and manual ip seetings. After putting in all the correct information, I manage to connect to the network but STILL CAN'T BROWSE INTERNET!! I realized that even though I have put in the Gateway and DNS manually, when I double-click the little icon in the bottom right, click support, I see that the GATEWAY and DNS Server are blank. No values assigned to them.


So the result is that I can browse computers on my network but I can't access internet. PLease help!!!!
