Default Can't connect to router using wireless devices?

Hey there.

I have a 'main' computer in my house which has a NetGear WGR614v6 router. I can access the internet fine on this computer - As can my Xbox 360 console (both use Ethernet cables which are plugged into the router).

However, there are also two other computers in my house which have a Wireless USB (for a PC) and a Wireless Card (for the Laptop). They were both working fine. But as of late they cannot connect to the router what so ever.

Often the router is in range and has a full signal - But it still doesn't connect (sometimes it displays a message saying 'Router not in range'). Other times it connects and says something along the lines of 'Acquiring IP address'...and then fails. Sometimes the router isn't displayed in the available wireless networks.

I have very little knowledge when it comes to this. I have tried many different things and asked various different people. But I still can't resolve the issue! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Louis.

How many available network connections you get when you check the available networks on the connection setting? What channels are they on?

I had a similar issue, and examined everything that may have changed in the environment. In my case it was the introduction of a B device in an otherwise G environment, the addition of a couple of wireless phones (VOIP) and a new placement of the wireless router... OK, so maybe more than a few changes the point being things just son't change - the break, become incompatible, suffer outages etc... So what's changed in your case?
