A friend of mine recently bought a coffee shop, and we are trying to figure out how the previous owners had everything set up.
There's a WRT300N set up, connected into an SMC Networks cable modem for Time Warner Cable Enterprise.
The IP address of the router is set to 192.168.1.1 with DHCP for 192.168.1.100-192.168.1.149. The configuration is set to Automatic-DHPC. Yet, when we connect to the network, we get assigned an IP of 192.168.0.xx, and the gateway is 192.168.0.1, which is the SMC networks device.
The WRT300N status page says, "Automatic Configuration - DHCP" but IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway are all 0.0.0.0. I don't even understand how it's working?
Can any of you experts make sense of this? Thanks!
