Connected to virgin broadband but with "limited connectivity" AAAARRGGGHHH!
I am posting in the hope that one of you smart people can help me with my wireless problem.
I have an Edimax 7064mg wireless router which is hard wired to 2 desktop p.c's (one runs xp and one vista and they both work perfectly).
Also have another desktop upstairs which runs vista and is connected via wireless and is fine also.
The problem is my laptop and netbook.
I originally had a laptop running vista which would detect the network and connect fine but if it went into standby mode (closing the lid) or was left un used for too long ( and sometimes during use) it would lose connection. I would then run the vista diagnostic repair option and it always comes back to the router needing to be reset which is a real pain as it takes about 15 mins to reset.
I put all this down to a quirk in the laptop software or something and lived with it.
I recently got a netbook-asus atom e pc with windows 7 and this connects fine just as the other laptop did but drops connection just like the other too.
When they do this, the connectivety icon says "connected to virgin broadband with limited connectivety" so its like they still detect the internet connection but wont let me online and that when the network diagnostic thingy says reset your router.
