I have a DI-514 Router & SpeedStream 4100 Modem. I spent all day yesterday trying to get the two to work then by dumb luck I found out the two were fighting for the same IP (192.168.0.1). I could never get the DHCP to ever work so I turned it off and just plugged the modem into one of the 4 router ports instead of the wan. Which worked until this morning. When the laptop powered on it threw the network into fits. IP fights all over the place. So now I have DHCP on and I have ajusted all the ip ranges. I have the router on a different ip than the modem, and I have the ip ranges the router gives out higher than what the modem & router sit on. The problem I still get is "limited or no connectivity" on the laptop (desktop works fine). I also looked at the ip the wireless card on the laptop has and it seems to hold onto that ip no matter what and it is an ip that is not in the set of ip ranges i told the router to give out, yet it still says it can connect to the router just nothing works. Help anyone?
