Default does wifi see thru walls, thickness counts?

I am new to this forum as well to wifi. I have seen wifi installations in homes and the signal goes thru walls no problem. My question is, does wall thickness count? I live in a house with very thick walls, say 18 inches.

Yes it does, and even more importantly is the building material. Dry wall, wood, etc do not worry it too much, whilst brick, concrete, etc will absorb it very quickly.

The angle the radio waves travel through the wall can make a difference too, the greater this is the thicker the wall 'appears' to the signal.

Default Wi-fi

A very good question from somebody like you, Yes thinkness of walls count on a wi-fi solution, then you should understand that wi-fi is a radio frequency solution which works with waves and very sensitive in peneration.
Wifi strongest and signal strenght depends on the AP's and Antenna's you use in transmissing your signal. The strongest of your equipment depends on the quality of both the AP'a and Antennas.

I think your should understand some concept of wi-fi solution. Thanks
