Default Full signal strength but not connection?

Hey
I've been having problems with my new wireless USB, after I replaced my old one (which worked just fine). It flickers between fully connected with 100% signal strength to disconnected and no activity. Needless to say, I can't access the internet during either of these, regardless of what the icons say.
I've tried everything my simple mind could coume up with - pretty much turning it on and off and switching to Zero Config - but without success.
I have no idea what I'm doing, so if I could just spam a load of images, that might help.
Here's the stuff I tried doing to understand the problem:

I can't make any sense out of that, so I tried wandering around the computer, but didn't get that either
Particular importance, I think, on these two?

Sorry about the information overload, I just didn't know what was useful or not. Thanks so much or reading, and it'd be fantastic if you had any suggestions! (at all)
