Help please ! Wireless not working

The other day i turned on my laptop and my wireless wasnt working my brothers laptop & the home computer both working fine. My wireless switch doesnt seem to work wen i turn it on the light still stays amber (usually blue) i tried opening my hp wireless assistant to check if it was defo on but this would not open for whatever reason so im assuming its something to do with that. i checked the hp website and there is a fault similar to this but my type of laptop is not the ones who get it. in my device manager under network adapters my nvida nforce networking controller is still there & . And the internet still works by plugging in my ethernet cable. Please help me with this, any suggestions would be appreciated im running out of ideas !

This sounds like a hardware issue with your laptop. In the past month there have been quite a few problems exactly like this popping up in the forums.
Sadly, my guess is to try and HP specific forum and see if someones figure out a workaround. You could try restoring windows back to a prior date when it all worked well. But, if it's truely a piece of hardware gone bad, none of that will help
