Help with Wi-fi connection

Hi i bought a new computer with Vista and my old Thrustmaster wi-fi transmitter didn't work anymore and there are no drivers for it so i ended up buying a new one which works for Vista. I bought a Hercules WIFI USB Transmitter. After installing i can find it i get 100% Signal strength with my PS3 and PSP but when it comes to the test it fails to find the IP address. I also have limited or no connectivity in my pc can someone please help me, id appreciate it
